Some info about Kedah Kingdom:
Kedah is one of many early Malay Peninsula trade centres that have been found, many have yet to be identified. Early west-coast trade centres are few in number as they were overshadowed by Kedah. [link]
AKA: Kadaram, Kedaram, Kataha, Chieh-Cha (Saiburi for you Thais out there)

Why?(I'll simplify it) Do keep in mind that these are only my views.
I-Tsing's writings said that in 673 AD, Kedah was an independent kingdom but when he returned there in 685AD, it already became Srivijaya's important port in the north. [link]

After Kedah has been conquered by Srivijaya, it has lead many kind of rivalries eith Indian states especially Cholas. In early 11th century, Chola Kingdom invaded Kedah. Chola dominance was brief, but effectively crippled the power of Srivijaya. [link]

Bored around 6pm. Finished on 2am. Tried to practice a new style of colouring. Can't decide whether I fail or not. One thing for sure, I can't draw them children!

Basically a lot of people made Sultanate of Malacca as Malaysia's birth. A bit too mainstream don't you think?
I thought Kedah would be good and accurate a little bit.

(Plus, who the hell hates Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa? This kid's first king, Merong Mahawangsa was a descendant of Alexander the Great and she has a vampire-king, Raja Bersiong. Not to mention she's the first sultanate in Malay Peninsula to accept Islam. Right now our Paramount Ruler is from Kedah and he's first to hold the title two times. Kedah Kingdom/ Sultanate/ State/Langkasuka/ Kadaram/ Kedaram/ Kataha/ Chieh-Cha/ Saiburi/ Rice Bowl of Malaysia/ Whatever you like to call her needs moar LOVE)

Yeah, by this age she doesn't know Temasek yet... they only meet when they're in Majapahit's control.
